11 Apr Press Release – Success at the Hannover Messe exhibition for VISCOPIC
Munich, 11.04.2019. The participation at the Hannover Messe as an exhibitor was a success for VISCOPIC. From 01st to 5th April 2019 the Start Up, an expert for 3D- and Augmented Reality solutions, presented its products, Steps, Pins and Polygons at its booth number L22 in hall 6.
At the world’s leading trade fair for the industry, VISCOPIC was able to take advantage of the many opportunities offered by the meeting of numerous experts and trade visitors from various sectors such as the process industry, product development, energy supply and the automotive industry. In particular, the startup was able to welcome its partners and customers, including Viessmann, VW and Deutsche Bahn, to its stand. Exchange was promoted, cooperations were established and some interesting discussions took place.
The technologies around Augmented Reality are developing rapidly – this could be experienced at the Hannover Messe. VISCOPIC was able to test the new AR glasses from Microsoft, the HoloLens 2. The new technology with some improvements to the previous version allows the startup to make its software available in the future on the advanced devices.
VISCOPIC presented its products at the startup’s booth. The three applications Steps, Pins and Polygons change the work in different areas in times of digitalization significantly. VISCOPIC Steps can be used to create 3D content and animations by hand. VISCOPIC Pins enables anyone to create Augmented Reality content without programming knowledge, which can be displayed on end devices such as Microsoft HoloLens or a tablet as documentation and instructions for any purpose. VISCOPIC Polygons enables automatic mesh reduction and real-time streaming of 3D models to the Microsoft HoloLens. The applications of VISCOPIC’s Augmented Reality applications are diverse and range from animated 3D work instructions for installation, repair and maintenance of machines to industrial training on virtual images of systems and Augmented Reality applications in marketing and sales.
For VISCOPIC the trade fair performance was a success. Countless qualitative discussions took place, networking was promoted, contacts were made and the demonstration of the software products Steps and Pins awakened enthusiasm among the visitors.
VISCOPIC pins could be tested on an operating manual for an ice-cream machine, where holograms provided the necessary information for the operation of the machine. Visitors were also able to experience VISCOPIC Steps up close in a Pick-by Light demo in which assembly was carried out with the help of animations in the Steps Viewer.
