In Augmented Reality, purely virtual environments are not displayed, but the real environment is enriched by computer-generated objects. In this way information can be transmitted as holograms in direct relation to the position of a real object.

Furthermore, real objects can be compared with the corresponding CAD model by CAD processing. These technologies enable the tracking of work steps and their quality control. Components can be recorded and their correct positioning or processing can be displayed and checked for correctness.
Animations and 3D visualizations can be used in many areas. By simulating processes on virtual 3D models, they can be easily imitated or trained. The technology can be used, among other things, to guide work steps and processes and for training and instruction.
The development of mobile and web apps plays an increasingly important role. Applications for various purposes are implemented to convey information and redesign processes. By networking physical and virtual objects, the Internet of Things (IoT), a global structure of information properties can be created and the communication of data between objects made possible.
