03 Jun Award Winner “Land der Ideen”
With the project “Be-IT-Ink – Professional Immersive Training for Inclusion” VISCOPIC is one of the award winners of the “Land der Ideen” on 14 May in Berlin. The award ceremony for innovative ideas and digitization in work and education was held under the motto “digitize. revolutionize. motivate. Ideas for Education and Work in Germany and Europe” and selected ten projects with the most innovative answers to questions of the future.
The project Professional Immersive Training for Inclusion
The “Be-IT-Ink” project, which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund of the European Union, aims to support trainees with learning disabilities in building up comprehensive competences for vocational education and training. Trainees with learning disabilities are supported in reducing certain deficits in order to facilitate their access to the first labour market. To this end, learning content will be developed which aims to use augmented reality and virtual reality applications to promote the spatial perception of pupils and to communicate content on occupational safety in an understandable way.
The project is carried out by VISCOPIC in cooperation with project partners from various fields. Together with Zeitbild Verlag, the Technical University Munich, two Kolping schools and the companies Wieneke Metallbau, Warnung Metalltechnik and Meinolf Gockel the project can be realized.
Festival of ideas: Awarded places 2019 are honoured
At the award ceremony for the winning projects in Berlin, it was emphasized that inventiveness works against stagnation – and that the prizewinners play a major role in this. The “Be-IT-Ink” project was able to convince with the innovative energy and implementation strength of the idea behind it. The award winners are supported by a Deutsche Bank mentoring program and can present their projects at other events and at an exhibition.
Federal Labour Minister Hubertus Heil opened the award ceremony with an eulogy in which he made it clear that the prizewinners were pioneers in making the most of the opportunities offered by technical upheavals for themselves and others – without fear of the future and without forgetting people.
It is an honour for VISCOPIC that this project has been awarded the prize. Helping young people with disabilities is a concern that can be implemented in the “Be-IT-Ink” project. It is of great importance for the Startup to make a valuable contribution to shaping the education system in Germany with its project and thus to positively change the future of many young people with learning disabilities and limitations.
